Individualized Horse Rehabilitation Services
Our farm offers many resources that allow us to rehab horses coming off injuries, some illnesses, and other types of conditions that require a lay-off period. We have special hospital stalls that are in a separate location close to the hospital to ensure that the horses can be monitored closely. We also have rehab paddocks to ease horses back into turnout after a long period of stall rest.
With a veterinarian and two trainers on site, we also are able to start horses back to work carefully so that they do not re-injure themselves. Dr. Kim Braeutigam keeps a close eye on the progress of each horse in the rehabilitation program, ensuring that the work proceeds with few setbacks. We are proud that we have brought back many horses (including show hunters, jumpers, and Standardbreds, among others) that were considered “useless” or unsaleable and turned them into winning horses. This service is highly individualized and tailored to the specific needs of each horse, the cost is based on the horse’s initial condition and the services needed, as well as the length of time services are required.
